 Taksindu Social Welfare (TSW) is a non profit social organization established in 2006 with the mission to help the socially and economically disadvantaged local communities. We aim to reach these communities by supporting them in overcoming their problems and improve their lifestyle through cost-effective and sustainable programs. It is a mission where locals will have the ultimate ownership of all the developmental projects.

Education being the key factor in uplifting communities’ life and living standards, we focus on areas of Education as our primary VISION. Health, Environment & Cultural preservation will be other areas we will be working on simultaneously.  

The essence of our work is based on a ‘community development’ approach in achieving sustainable, valuable and genuine partnerships with communities with the belief that cultivates the sense of ownership and responsibility towards a project’s success and consequent improvement in the quality of day to day life. 

We would like to urge you to join hand in hand with us in this noble and rewarding mission. Your little support can bring big changes in the life of these communities. Within a short period of its inception, we are fortunate enough to have received enormous support from the local communities and our local and international donor organizations.
