Message from the President

Dear Friends & Supporters,

Taksindu Social Welfare (TSW) was registered at Kathmandu District Administration Office in 2006 and is affiliated with Social Welfare Council (SWC) as a non-profitable, non-government social organization working towards the development of Himalayan communities in partnership with different international organizations and local community.  

The committee members of TSW are from the same region. We hope to serve our community through our collective ideas and resources in helping children and women under poverty; and work towards raising environmental awareness. 

We are currently involved in different projects which would provide the local communities with the kind of social benefits that would enable them to raise and maintain a quality life without compromising the social harmony. Our current projects includes rebuilding and renovating schools, providing professional development trainings to teachers through professional organizations, providing financial aids to support towards teachers salary, drinking water supply, waste management and organizing health camps.  

Taksindu Social Welfare is purely a local organization run by committee members from within the community. Our organization avoids any middle management and administration costs to make sure that the funding reach to the grassroots level. This is our assurance that your contribution will be utilized to bring lifelong changes. We invite our individual donors and organizations to visit these areas and projects to witness the changes your little support can bring.
