The objective of Taksindu Social Welfare (TSW)

1. To develop the projects that addresses school governance, environmental education, community development, integrated literacy, small enterprise development, HIV and AIDS education and prevention and care, and income generating skill trainings.
2. To  works for strengthening literacy and adult basic education programs in the underprivileged Himalayan community  to contribute to individual growth, as well as to community and national development through education.
3. To develop the sustainable basic infrastructures at grassroots level through the maximum utilization of local resources and community participation for education, health and economic development.
4. To promote the basic health and prevent epidemics and endemic diseases especially in schools, public places and in entire community by increasing awareness about basic health and sanitation issues and by providing pure drinking water and toilets in the community.
5.  Optimum participation of local people for the sustainable community development through the empowerment of local people & women.

 Taksindu Social Welfare (TSW) is grassroots social organization that works for Himalayan Deprived    community to create positive change basically by means of education, health and Community Development programs. 

Our mission is sustainable development of Himalayan deprived community by respecting participation of local community, empowering local community people and creating opportunity of self employment. The essence of our work is based on our responsible action for ‘community development approach’ to achieve sustainable, long-lasting, valuable and genuine partnerships with the community people in the belief that community participation cultivates the sense of ownership and responsibility towards a project's success. That ultimately contributes toward development and consequent improvement in the quality of life. TSW serves people without regard to their ethnic, political or religious association.

TSW is dedicated to improving the lives of the poor through education, economic and social     development programs.
